Which Disney Is Right For You?

ALL OF THEM! Well each Disney Resort or Cruise has something different to offer, so it's situational. Whether you're looking at a Disney Cruise, Disney World, or heading to Disneyland there are a LOT of choices to make. What you are looking for out of your Disney vacation can make a big difference on which one you choose as well as how long you have for your trip.  Follow along for more.

Disney Cruiseline

Two main reasons to consider a Disney Cruise:  1 If you have little ones who would love to meet characters without the hustle of the parks.
​2 If you are looking for a relaxing vacation with the flavors of Disney, look no further than a Disney Cruise. No worries about rushing around and jumping on rides, you can take this as slow and easy as you like.

Disney cruises vary in length so whether you want a short 3-4 day trip or a much longer voyage there are lots of options.  They have a nursery for the smallest of tots and the various kids clubs will keep those over 3 occupied if the adults need some adult time.

Not to mention you can eat at fabulous Disney themed restaurants included with your cruise!

Also there are a LOT of opportunities to meet Disney characters aboard the ship or on Disney's private islands.  Characters' schedules are listed in the app and we rarely waited more than 10 minutes to meet with most characters.

Disneyland

You want a theme park with rides and lots of characters?  Then Disneyland is one of your better choices, especially if you have younger ones and want to dip your toes into the Disney theme parks.

Disneyland is 2 theme parks that are right next to each other with hotels and resorts located within walking distance. You don't have to worry about how to get to the park each morning since it's all so close. It's great for a long weekend since you really don't need more than 3 days to do pretty much everything.

All the classics are well represented in Disneyland.  You've got all the most memorable Disney rides, Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, PIXAR Pier, and Marvel's Avengers Campus filling two parks.

Plus some classic attractions that no longer exist in Disney World like:  Mickey's Toontown and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride.

With both scheduled character meet and greets and TONS of free roaming characters you will have plenty of opportunity to interact with characters.

Run into Disney, PIXAR, Marvel, and even Star Wars characters in their areas of the park.

Plus, if you want a lot of Marvel MCU characters Marvel's Avengers Campus is the best place to find them all.

TLDR:  ​Shorter theme park trip with plenty of characters, pick Disneyland!

Walt Disney World

THE BIG ONE!  Walt Disney World has it all!  You want a blow out trip for a week to go and do tons of Disney stuff?  That's Disney World!

With 4 theme parks and 2 water parks you can spend a LOT of time in Disney World.  It would be hard to squeeze all this into a short trip without skipping some stuff.

Each park has something to enjoy!
Want all the classics? Then you have to go to Magic Kingdom.

Toy Story, Star Wars, and Disney Junior? Hollywood Studios!

Eat and drink your way around the world and ride some cute interactive rides?  EPCOT!

Love Animals and Nature?  Animal Kingdom!

Plus there's always the two waterparks, mini golf locations, and Disney Springs for fantastic shopping and dining.

You really can have it all at Disney World! It's just spread out over the gigantic area that is Walt Disney World. You will have to factor in transportation each morning to get to each of the parks as most resorts are about a 15 minute bus ride to any of the parks.

There are a good number of set character meet and greets, but you won't find many characters roaming freely around the parks. There are also a ridiculous number of extra special activities that can also be booked during your stay.

With all that, it's no wonder that most people will try to spend a minimum of 4 days to do each park at least once.  Any less and you have to cut out a theme park.

TLDR. Have enough time to do all 4 theme parks?  Disney World is amazing!
