Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a great way to kick off the holidays and get in that Christmas spirit.  Loaded with Christmas cheer, what makes this special ticketed event worth it?  Why should you buy a ticket for just one night that costs almost as much as a park ticket for the whole day?

Let me breakdown all the great things you'll see and do during this special limited ticket event.

For the uninformed, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a limited ticket event that take place during November and December.  By limited ticket, I mean the park is limited to roughly a third of the number of people that it would normally allow.  So one of the best features is that means way smaller crowds and MUCH lower wait times for most rides.

The party's official hours are from 7pm to 12am, but you can get in as early as 4pm.  4-6 is a pretty standard time in the park, but at 6pm regular park guests have to start heading out.  That's when ride wait times start to drop.
So even Tiana's Bayou Adventure, which is on a Virtual Queue normally, was practically a walk on experience.  It took us less than  5 minutes to walk through the queue and board the ride.  With such low crowds you can ride almost everything, or your favorite ride over and over again!
With every special event Disney does, you'll find special eats and treats that are exclusive to just the event.  Special beverages, cupcakes, even holiday beignets were just some of the special treats we tried!

There are also some rare characters that make appearances!  I had never seen Abu in the parks before!
What kind of Christmas would it be if we didn't get some snow?!?  I know I always dream of snow on Christmas Day!
We especially love the special holiday fireworks and parades that occur during the party.  Disney is famous for their parades and it doesn't get much better than a Christmas parade.  And as the world's top purchaser of fireworks you know they put on a heck of a show!
Disney knows how to add those special holiday touches to make even classic rides have some holiday cheer.  The Jungle Cruise becomes the Jingle Cruise, loaded with a ton of holiday puns.

Space Mountain had red and green holiday lights to go with cheery Christmas music while you ride through the roller coaster.  I have to say I prefer that coaster in the dark, the lights made me anxious in those tight turns.

And the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor had a special Christmas performance that was a lot of fun.

There was a ton of fun to be had!  We had a great time at the dance party over in Tomorrowland.  Goofy has the moves!

Plus who could forget FREE Hot Cocoa and cookies!  There were several eateries in the park that were converted into Hot Cocoa and cookie spots, each with a different cookie!
No matter how you spin it, this party is worth the hype.  You could just do rides or focus on having a great Christmas celebration.  It was just delightful!
